Alyaksandr Lukashenka congratulates Kim Jong-il
The reason for it was the Day of creation of the DPRK.
Belarusian leader Alyaksandr Lukashenka has congratulated Chairman of the National Defense Commission of North Korea Kim Jong-il and the people of the country on the Day of creation of the DPRK. The independence of North Korea was announced on September 9, 1948 in response to the creation of pro-American South Korea. A war started between the two states soon afterwards. There are two Korean states now. The DPRK is considered to be the most closed country in the world ruled by a totalitarian regime.
