Providers are ready to filter ByNet since September 1
Belarusian internet providers will start to filter the unreliable sites since September 1. There is still no list of the sites which happened to be in this category. As it was reminded by the "Belarusian News", a number of 1500 sites which would be impossible to download in Belarus had been mentioned before. "Beltelecom" states that the main internet operator of the country is now ready to conduct filtration of the sites, that the corresponding software has been bought and there are people to do this job.
Other providers also confirmed their readiness to filter. However, some of them state that nothing is yet clear with the list of forbidden resources.
They also say that the filtration equipment was rather expensive. Providers will recompense the expenses at the users' cost. As it is impossible for "Beltelecom" to increase the prices for Internet because of dumping, the users are most likely to be deprived of a certain service or this service will be provided in lower quality..
