Presidential election has started today in Belarus.
Election precincts will work from 8 a.m. till 8 p.m. non-stop.
Citizens can vote for one of the ten presidential candidates at any of the 6 390 election precincts, including 44 abroad. According to the data provided by the CEC, 7 million 94 thousand citizens have a right to cast a ballot.
In order to receive a ballot a citizen should present any personal document with a photo, in case he is included into the voters’ list at this very election precinct.
The presidential election will be acknowledged if more than 50% of the total number of voters included in the list actually vote. The candidate who gets more than half of votes of citizens who participated in the election, becomes President.
