PM promises to study situation with education in Belarusian language

Prime Minister Siarhei Rumas has promised to study the situation with education in the Belarusian language in respond to the question from Euroradio correspondent Zmicier Lukashuk. The journalist said there were many complaints on this issue against the education ministry and asked if the Prime Minister could be able to change the situation.

Rumas admitted he had been the Prime Minister for a very short period, and needed more time to study the issue. "The topic of the eduaction in the Belarusian language in our schools is very complex. I do not have an answer yet," Prime Minister said noting there should be more time dedicated in schools to study Belarusian. When he was answering the question from Euroradio, Rumas was speaking Belarusian.
