November 1 - All Saints Day

The Catholic Church recalls All Saints today. Believers thank God for the gift of sainthood and pay respects to all the saints, both known and unknown, on this day. All Saints Jublilance is not, as it is often thought to be, "the holiday of the dead". The deceased are commemorated on the next day - November 2 - the Day of Commemoration of the Dead. The tradition prescribes to visit the cemeteries and say special prayers for those who died, on that day.  

Blessing of Kalvariyskaye cemetery in Minsk will take place today. Church services and processions will take place at the cemetery during the day.
