Negotiations contact group on the Donbass in Minsk

The representatives of Ukraine, Russia, OSCE and the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics met behind closed doors in Minsk.

The contact group will gather in the Belarusian capital to discuss the situation in Donets Basin again.

Tripartite contact group will meet in the Belarusian capital on 24 and 26 December.

The negotiations will be held on December 11 or 12.

Official Kiev would like to conduct the negotiations on December 9 while militants’ leaders insist on December 12.

The negotiations in Minsk may be resumed next week, Ukrainian ex-President Leonid Kuchma said.

Ukraine insists on fulfilling the previous agreements first.

The Ukrainian authorities maintain that the current Minsk agreement should be fulfilled first.

The trilateral group of Ukraine, Russia and OSCE may meet in Minsk later this week.
