Missing lady from Minsk found dead, suspects detained

The Investigatory Committee has opened a criminal case under Article 139 (2-12) "lucrative homicide" of the Penal Code of the Republic of Belarus, reports interfax.by.

The investigators add that on July 3, Tatsiana Slonimskaya left Minsk in her car to visit her mother. She also had plans to go to the woods in Minsk district to pick berries afterwards.

The law enforcement agencies detained the people suspected in the murder. The suspects are reportedly the residents of Minsk aged 20-25.

The investigators say the criminals killed the woman to get her car. They earthed the body in order to hide the traces of the crime. They later sold the car to Russia via Internet.
