Mick Jagger: "Long Live Belarus!"

The world's rock legend expresses solidarity with the people of Belarus and will today put a bottle of Belarus's herbs vodka on his birthday table.

The Rolling Stones leader also pledges to support the Belarusian musicians and fight for democracy in Belarus.

During a concert in Warsaw yesterday, Mick Jagger taped a video appeal to the Belarusians, saying that our country should be free and that the freedom of speech and democracy should prevail. The musician ended his video appeal, saying in Belarusian: "Long Live Belarus!", Mikalay Khalezin, the director of the Minsk-based underground Free Theater, told the European Radio for Belarus

Khalezin met with the Rolling Stones legend in the Polish capital.

Khalezin:
"We had this meeting scheduled since long time ago. I and Mick have common friends who invited us to meet either in Budapest or in Warsaw -- the cities that host Mick Jagger's tour in Europe".

According to Khalezin, Jagger agreed to coordinate the project titled "World's Musicians in Solidarity with Belarus". The project was launched by famous Belarus-based DJ Laurel.

Khalezin: "Mick will oversee this project. He will back it with his connections and ties"

Rights before the concert in Warsaw, DJ Laurel's mix "Free Belarus" was played, while Mick Jagger announced from the stage that representatives of the Free Theater from Belarus were present at the show.
