Foreign Minister Makei comments on Trump's national security advisor John Bolton’s visit to Minsk.
Belarusian Minister for Foreign Affairs Uladzimir Makei has commented on the meeting of Alyaksandr Lukashenka and National Security Advisor of the United States John Bolton. There is no conspiracy, he noted.
"Nobody has urged anyone to join anything or to break from anything,” BELTA quotes Makei. “There was an honest discussion of the situation in our region, in the world and as regards security, trade and economic cooperation and development of Belarus-US bilateral relations.”
Meanwhile, the settlement of the conflict in East Ukraine was also discussed. Lukashenka expressed his position. Belarus is ready to do everything to help settle the conflict as soon as possible, the Belarusian President said.
"It was a very efficient visit,” the Foreign Minister said. “We have agreed to continue the dialogue and not to avoid burning issues.”
