Lukashenka: National security meeting to be held soon (video)

Alyaksandr Lukashenka met Prosecutor General Alyaksandr Kanyuk on February 17. Kanyuk made a report about the criminogenic situation in the country.

Alyaksandr Kanyuk: "In my opinion, we have managed to stabilize the [criminogenic] situation. It is not worsening… It has even improved a little. But the improvement is not permanent… The number of murders is increasing and we are worried about it. The number of heinous crimes, espically the ones connected with drugs, has also increased.”

An expanded national security meeting may be held soon, Alyaksandr Lukashenka said. All the security agencies will be represented there. The meeting may be held in the Prosecutor General’s Office, STV reports.
