Lithuania, Belarus set to resolve visa issue

Belarus and Lithuania are soon to hold the final round of negotiations over the visa issue, reports the Baltic news agency, citing Belarus Ambassador in Vilnius Uladzimir Drazhyn.
Minsk and Vilnius have been in talks over this issue for six months, and the final touches are expected very soon, according to the Belarusian diplomat. Drazhyn did not mention the time when the deal could be signed but noted that "drastic positive changes would take place in the both countries".

Apart from the reduction of visa costs, the sides also negotiate simplified procedures of crossing the border by the population that lives within 30-50 km near the border.
