Hrodna University introduces electronic student cards
Hrodna State University named after Janka Kupala introduced the system of electronic student cards, thus becoming the second educational establishment with such system, after the Belarusian State University, informs BELTA. An electronic student card will be used as admittance to university's academic buildings and hostels. It will also be used to keep the record on books taken in the library. Students will also get access to the University's electronic databases in the internet rooms.
Soon all the buildings of the Hrodna University will be equipped with special self-service terminals, where it will possible to check timetables, academic debts and other information, with the help of an electronic student card.
Electronic student cards are to be introduced in all the higher educational establishments of the country within 2 years.
