“Dazhynkі” postponed for a week?
“Dazhynki” will be postponed for a week this year. The festival had to take place in Lida on September 17-19. Lida inhabitants are getting ready to organize “Dazhynki” on September 24-26 now. Lida District Executive Committee has informed ERB about it.
Executive Committee: “Dazhynki” was appointed for September 17, but we have been informed about a postponement for a week today. It is impossible to be precise at the moment”.
However, Hrodna Region Executive Committee has not been informed about the adjournment of the festival yet:
Waiting room: "We were told the festival would be held on September 16-18 and we do not know for sure now”.
According to Hrodna Blog S13, “Dazhynki” has been postponed due to a lot for unfinished work, although the main objects are ready. According to unconfirmed information, the new date of the festival was suggested by the head of Hrodna Province Executive Committee Syamyon Shapira.
By the way, it is not the first time “Dazhynki” has been postponed. It happened in Slutsk in 2005 and in Babruisk in 2006.
