Belarus helicopter off to put out forest fires in Greece

A MI-26 helicopter attached to Belarus' emergencies ministry took off on Monday morning to Greece where it will be deployed to put out forest fires. The helicopter will stay in the Balkan country through September 23.
The Belarusian helicopter will fly to Saloniki without a stop for refueling. The Belta news agency reports a total of 18 people, including pilots and maintenance crew, departed for Greece. This is the third season in a row when Belarusian rescuers will work Greece. The MI-26 helicopter is capable of releasing 15 tons of waters to the fire epicenter at once.

Two helicopters of Belarus' emergency ministry are now in Turkey, also helping put out forest fires there.
