We are not trying to settle the conflict but Belarus will do what it can if it is asked to, the Belarusian President said.

The Belarus leader promised to prevent price increases even after 15 January, when the 'New Year freeze' ends.

"It is not your business whether you like me or not,” Alyaksandr Lukashenka announced at a press conference in Moscow.

Belarusians have not come to the Russian capital ‘to beg’, he claimed.
