Russia wires $1.55 billion to Belarus
The interstate loan worth $1.55 billion has arrived at the bank account of the Belarusian Ministry of Finance.
The corresponding agreement entered into force on 26 September, it was published on the website of legal information in Russia. According to the text of the document, the funds are provided to the Belarusian government to servicethe debt and replenish reserves.
Our country is obliged to repay the loan in 20 equal semi-annual installments. And the first payment will be made on January 15, 2019, informs BelTA.
It should be recalled that in July our country received from Russia a support loan in the amount of $450 million. Thus, the total loan amount is $2 billion.
