Zaharau on boycott: Europe will be happy if Canadians don’t come!
Manager of HC “Yunatstva” Mihail Zaharau has commented on the possible boycott of the 2014 World Ice Hockey Championship that is supposed to take place
in Belarus.
"So what if Canadians and Americans don’t come? Europe will only be glad: Norwegians, Danes and Germans… When will they get another opportunity to compete for medals?”, - he said in an interview with the website goals.by.
Let us remind you that the International Ice Hockey Federation will consider the issue of giving the right to host the 2014 World Ice Hockey Championship to another state at a congress in May. International human rights organizations and the European Parliament are calling for it.
