Syarhej Kavalenka meets with his lawyer
The lawyer visited the CCP BPF activist in the pre-trial detention center in Vitsebsk on February 3.
04.02.2012 12:51The wife of the arrested activist Alena has informed to BelaPAN that he is still on a hunger-strike. Syarhej Kavalenka looks worse than before. He had fever for several days, and he is in a solitary cell. According to the woman, the letters from him come late, for example, the letter dated January 17 reached her mailbox only in two weeks. He is not allowed to meet with his family. The trial date should be decided upon on February 8.
Syarhej Kavalenka was arrested on December 19, 2011, and started a hunger-strike to protest against his arrest on December 20. The activist is accused of avoidance from serving punishment in the form of freedom restriction.
