Putin: Russia gave about 5 billion dollars to Belarus
Vladimir Putin has informed about it during his meeting with Alyaksandr Lukashenka in the residence “Zaslauye”.
According to Putin, the financial assistance was allocated in various ways, reports BelaPAN. In the Russian President’s opinion, the Belarusian administration is making difficult but right decisions in the economic sphere.
The Russian state leader has reminded that discounts for Russian gas also played an important part in the solution of Belarusian problems. He has stressed that Belarus paid about 280 dollars for one thousand cubic meters of gas in 2011 and only 165.5 dollars this year.
