Mikola Statkevich’s letter arrives from Mahilyou prison
This is the first letter received by Maryna Adamovich, the political prisoner’s wife.
03.02.2012 16:38According to Statkevich’s website, the letter was written when he had been released from the punishment cell on January 24 or 25.
According to Statkevich, he found out that the documents sent from Shklou colony described him as “prone to attack and escape” when he was in prison. Let us remind you that Statkevich was transferred to Mahilyou prison after a trial in the colony.
Statkevich has also informed about prison conditions. He says that he has a one-hour walk guarded by dogs every day in the prison yard.
At the end of the letter the political prisoner asks to thank those people who support him during his imprisonment.
