Long Live Belarus! film premiered in Warsaw (photo)

A special screening of Long Live Belarus! was organized in the Polish capital on April 17. Journalists and special guests were invited there. The film will be in Polish cinemas after April 19.

The film creators, actors and Polish public figures took part in the presentation – director and scriptwriter Krzysztof Lukasiewicz, scriptwriter Franak Vaychorka, director Vladzimezh Niderhous, musicians Lyavon Volski, actor Karolina Grushka, protagonist Dzmitry Vincent Papko and others. They noted many times that it was not simply a film for them. The actors think that their mission is to inform Polish and world viewers about the Belarusian reality.

Presentation in Warsaw "Cinemateque"

The idea to make the film appeared after he had read an article about a young politician and journalist Franak Vyachorka in a Polish newspaper, director Krzysztof Lukasiewicz said.  Franak’s fate became the baseline of the film. The actors noted that they had been persecuted for playing their parts in the film.

The film about Belarus was shot in Poland. The only exception was a few landscapes of Minsk. However, the viewers who attended the première in Warsaw noted that it did not seem to them that the film had been shot outside Belarus. Polish state studio Wytwórnia Filmów Dokumentalnych i Fabularnych (WFDiF) and French Canal+ worked on the film. The film will be shown on TV in summer.
