KGB: Haidukou spied for foreign intelligence

KGB's press office says the youngster had a task from a foreign intelligence agency "to collect and pass over the political and economic data."

Andrei Haidukou, an activist with the committee to organize the Belarusian Christian Democracy party, was placed into KGB's interrogation center. Investigators are trying to detect "other episodes of his criminal activities."

The young activist is facing criminal charges of the state treason by working for a foreign intelligence, subject to 7-15 years in jail if convicted.
