Disbelief at Astapchuk coach 'dusted coffee' claim

Coach Alyaksandr Yafimau has confessed that he added the dope to Nadzeya Astapchuk's coffee secretly.

Euroradio studied Nadzeya Astapchuk's menu in Raubichy very thoroughly on August 14. There was no coffee on the menu.

Of course, you could order coffee in the restaurant "Raubichy". However, liquid metenolone appears as an oil slick on top.

Theoretically, coach Yafimau could mill a pill and add the power to coffee.

However, independent expert from the Russian Anti-Doping Agency ("Rusada") Nikita Kamayev said:

“Anabolic steroids are difficult to dissolve in liquid".

It turns out that it is possible to dissolve the powder in coffee but it is impossible to do it quickly and insensibly.

Is it possible to buy metenolone in our drug-stores and shops? We phoned a popular shop specializing in sports food and pretended to be clients.

Euroradio: Do you have "Primobolan" (another name of the substance)?

Shop: Of course, we don't! It is an anabolic steroid and it is forbidden to sell it.

We did not find the dope in other shops either.

As Euroradio has found out, metenolone is not registered as a medicine in Belarus.

That is why the story about metenolone added to coffee seems to be far-fetched.
