Minister of Education Syarhei Maskevich has assured during an online conference that you can use e-textbooks at school. The Minister has advised that the mother of a pupil with scoliosis should go to the Institute of Education for it.

Syarhei Maskevich: “There is a possibility to use e-textbooks. You can visit the Institute of Education and consult them”.

Euroradio has decided to try downloading textbooks for a reader. However, the Institute disappointed us:

“E-textbooks are the author’s intellectual property. We are working on the regulations that would allow ill children who have a reference to use them”, - explained the Institute of Education.

So, you can get an e-textbook only if you… prove that you have scoliosis?

The Ukrainian Ministry of Education has promised to upload new textbooks to its website soon. First-formers will be able to find them there this year.  And you can download them for free.

402 Polish schools will start using readers this year.

A special website is being created for e-textbooks there. Readers are also allowed in other schools.

Belarusian pupils will have to rent textbooks for a year for 14-52 thousands. And the price for e-textbooks… has not been set yet.
