Statkevich and Us’ lawyers appeal against court decisions
The lawyers of ex-candidates Mikalai Statkevich and Dzmitry Us have sent appeals to Minsk City Court.
Let us remind you that the politicians’ sentences were pronounced by Lenin District Court. Statkevich was imprisoned in a top-security colony for six years and Dzmitry Us – for five and a half years.
According to BelaPAN, Statkevich’s lawyer Tatstsyana Stankevich has sent the appeal to court today, on June 6. She has met her client today. The ex-candidate looked tired. He may apply for a transfer to colony without waiting for the hearing. Statkevich did not send any appeal himself.
Us’ lawyer, Uladzimir Sazanchuk, also appealed against the court’s decision on June 5. His client also appealed against the sentence.
