Murder of Nemtsov: 5 suspects detained
Two of them are members of the Chechen police battalion North.
Five people have been detained on suspicion of the murder of Boris Nemtsov, the Russian Investigation Committee announced. They have been delivered to Moscow Basmanny Court and their measure of detention will be chosen soon, ria.ru reports.
Zaur Dadayev and Anzor Gubashev were detained by the FSB earlier. Two more suspects were detained afterwards. One of them is Gubashev’s younger brother Shagid.
Zaur Dadayev is the deputy commander of the Chechen MIA battalion North. Anzor Gubashev worked as a guard in Moscow. A man who was in Dadayev’s car (his colleague from the battalion North Rustam Yusupov) has also been detained, RBK reports. The name of the fifth suspects has not been reported yet.
