Minsk hostage taker dies in hospital
The man died in the afternoon of October 2.
SB.Belarus Today has reported his death.
The man attacked a BelSwissBank exchange office in Minsk trade center Shchastse on October 1. He took a young female teller hostage. The negotiations with him took a few hours and brought no result. A special operation was conducted – a sniper shot the attacker in the head, unofficial sources reports. The girl was not injured.
The attacker was a 23-year-old inhabitant of Masty. He used to serve as a paratrooper in Brest, then he worked as a security guard in Moscow. He had been jobless for six months before the attack.
