The Ministry of Information restricted access to nine websites or their components in November 2017, the press service of the Ministry reports.

Two of the websites were selling drugs and one website contained pornographic materials.

Six websites were blocked due to written reports sent by the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (dengitut3.by, immigrant.by, b-n.by, belaruscity.net/minsk/photo-22619.html, займ-под-залог.бел and belarusgo.com). They have been blocked for improper advertisements.

The Ministry of Information also sent a warning to the editorial staff of the newspaper Borisovskiye Novosti and the owner of the information resource borisovnews.by – private unitary enterprise "Bukas Media Centre". The reason for the warning was the violation of article 38 of the Belarusian Law On Mass Media.
