MFA checking reports about Belarus-born man detained in Egypt
The Belarusian Foreign Ministry has no information about a Belarus citizen, reportedly detained in Egypt in a group of ISIS fighters, MFA official representative Maryia Vanshyna told Euroradio:
Vanshyna: "I have something in the media. However, at this point, there are no comments. We need to check and verify everything first."
According to media reports, Egyptian security services on October 26 detained six ISIS fighters who had arrived from Lybia to prepare terror attacks at tourism attractions. Reports suggest the list of detainees includes a Tadjik Army Colonel, citizens of Armenia, Belarus, Serbia, Syria, Iran and Egypt.
