Reports: One A320 pilot 'locked out' of cockpit

One of the pilots of the Airbus A320 that crashed in the French Alps on March 24 left the cockpit before the crash and could not get back according a crash investigator, The New York Times reports. The study of the flight recorders found in the area has revealed that one of the pilots started knocking on the door. He continued knocking louder and louder because he was getting no response. Then the pilot tried to smash the door. This information is yet to be officially confirmed.

It is not clear what happened on board the plane. There were 150 people on board the Airbus A320 belonging to the German airline Gemanwings (144 passengers and 6 crew members). The plane was heading for Dusseldorf from Barcelona. Most of the victims were German, Spanish and Turkish citizens.
