Lukashenka notices positive tendencies in Belarusian economy (video)

Alyaksandr Lukashenka listened to the reports of PM Andrei Kabyakou and head of the administration of the National Bank Pavel Kalaur on March 31. Positive tendencies appeared in the Belarusian Economy in the first quarter of 2015 and it is necessary to preserve them, BELTA quotes the President.

The economic situation and the finances were balanced in the first quarter of the year, Lukashenka said.

Lukashenka: "The first quarter is over. Let us discuss how to preserve this situation. It should not get worse although I do not demand to increase the GPD or anything else. It would be good to reach the expected indexes.”

Kabyakou made a report about the economic results of the first quarter of 2015 and the situation in the money and crediting spheres. There was almost no need for the National Banks’ intervention in order to support the rouble, he noted. The National Bank provided only $40 thousand.
