Lukashenka loses Silver Galosh to Obama
The 17th Silver Galosh award ceremony has been held in the State Kremlin Palace, Moscow.
The prize for “questionable achievements” is awarded by the radio station Silver Rain.
There were seven nominations. Barack Obama won in the nomination Plagiarism of the Year, utro.ru reports. Obama copied Vladimir Putin’s pre-election programme, the jury thought.
The Olympic Torch and Alyaksandr Lukashenka were the American President’s rivals. The torch resembled the logo of a Russian vodka trademark and the Belarusian leader was accused of copying Putin too. When the Russian President caught a huge pike, the Belarusian leader announced that he had caught a 57-kilo sheatfish.
By the way, Gérard Depardieu was announced the migrant labourer of the year for getting Russian citizenship.
