Charnobylski Shlyakh organizers give up rally due to high costs

On Tuesday, April 7, the headquarters of the Belarusian Popular Front Party in Minsk hosted the first meeting of the organizing committee on preparation and holding of the Charnobylski Shlyakh on April 26. The organizers confirmed the approximate route of the rally. The participants will gather near the Kastrychnik cinema at 14.00-15.00, from there the people will march to the Charnobyl chapel in the Peoples' Friendship park on 15.00-16.00. The organizers gave up on the meeting on Bangalore Square. According to belprauda.org, it makes no sense and is too expensive.

It has been decided that an application to the Minsk City Executive Committee will be signed by the representative of the solidarity movement Razam Illya Dabratvor, chairman of the BPF Party Yanukevich, co-chair of the organizing committee of the BCD Vital Rymasheuski, representative of the Belarusian Green Party Dzmitry Kuchuk.

Organizers will submit the application on April 10.
