Building collapses in Luninets, 1 person dead (video)
The tragic incident occurred at about 5 p.m. on August 26. There was a heavy blast, witnesses say.
Part of the building collapsed in the building site of a heat and power plant. Assistant to the Minister of Emergency Situations Vital Navitski told Euroradio:
"One person has died and another is in hospital with various injuries. The details of the incident are being studied. Members of the Investigation Committee are working on the spot.”
The construction works had not been finished in the building at the moment of the blast.
Something exploded in the building, media-polesye.by reports. The explosion was very loud and could be heard in different districts of Luninets.
