Belarus and Russia to improve the infrastructure of joint military grouping

Belarus and Russia plan to improve the infrastructure of the regional military grouping and technical cover of railway troops. This was announced on January 28 in Minsk by Deputy State Secretary of the Union State Alyaksei Kubryn.

Kubryn said that this topic was agreed upon at the level of the Defense and Economy Ministries and now it is being approved by the Ministry of Finance of the two countries. Assistant Secretary of State hopes that next month the Belarusian side will solve all the problematic issues, RIA Novosti reports.

Regional military grouping of Belarus and Russia operates in accordance with the Military Doctrine of the Union State. According to the document, the doctrine is "defensive in nature and is aimed at ensuring the territorial integrity and sovereignty of member States to maintain strategic stability and create the conditions for a just and lasting peace."

The structure of the regional grouping of Belarus and Russia includes the Armed Forces of Belarus and the 20th Army of the Western Military District of the Armed Forces of Russia.
