Baranavichy officials comment on half a day of temperance
Alcohol will not be sold in Baranavichy from 12 a.m. until 2 p.m. on April 7. The news has caused a stir in social networks. Representative of the trade department of Baranavichy City Executive Committee Tatstsyana Charnushevich has explained the decision to Euroradio:
"The city administration has decided to reduce the temperance day to half a day (from 12 a.m. until 2 p.m. on April 7) because we need to fulfill the plan in alcohol trade,” Tatstsyana said.
The choice of the hours was not incidental, the official added. “We will be conducting events dated for the Health Day from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. That is why we have chosen the period between 12 a.m. and 2 p.m.”.
Alcohol trade will not be restricted in Minsk on the Health Day this year, Euroradio found out.
