The devaluation in Belarus

Belarusian currency improves 0.12% against the currencies basket on February 18.

The government orders 29 successful enterprises to share profit with the country's budget.

The dollar rate is now 21,668 rubles, and the euro - 24,246 rubles.

The euro now stands at 23,798 rubles, and the dollar at 21,475.

The dollar has gone up by 562 roubles and the euro – by 698 roubles.

The dollar went up by almost 12% three months before the presidential election and 23% up there months later.

The Russian rouble exchange rate has increased.

Vadzim Yosub, senior analyst at Alpari forex broker, says the country's leadership no longer vows to hold firm the currency rate.

Belarusian ruble has weakened 10.51% against the basket of currencies, 16.13% against USD and 17.14% against EUR since New Year.
