New Olympic quotas have suddenly become a problem for Belarus national team. The International Olympic Committee has given five additional quotas to Belarus: 2 in cross-country skiing and 3 in speed skating. The quotas were available because Russian sportsmen had been refused participation in the 2018 Olympic Games.
Valyantsina Kaminskaya has filled one of the two cross-country skiing quotas, Pressball reports. It was decided to include Nastassya Krylava in the team instead of Kaminskaya earlier. Yet, Valyantsina Kaminskaya will be able to participate in the Olympic Games now.
Belarus national team has not managed to fill the ninth quota.
