Activists Leanid Kulakou and Maksim Vinyarski have been invited to the police to study administration violation reports drawn up against them at the action in Independence Square on July 27, Radio Liberty reports.
About 20 activists came to the city centre with white-red-white flags on the 26th anniversary of the adoption of the declaration of independence of the Republic of Belarus. The police did not detain anyone but drew up reports against all the action participants.
Kulakou has refused to go to the police because he does not think that he violated the law, he told journalists. “We came to the square with flags but we had no mottoes or banners. We reminded the present that it was the anniversary of the declaration of Belarus’ independence and that it used to be a state holiday. What law did we violate?” the activist explained his position.
