Yuliya Salamatsina’s murder case to be considered on January 22
The 18-year-old girl came to Minsk to meet a young man and went missing. Her body was found in a forest.
The hearing will start in Minsk Frunzenski District Court on January 22. Yuliya Salamatsina, 18, was born in Smalyavichy and worked in Minsk. The girl wanted to enter university. She got acquainted with a 26-year-old Minsker in social networks and decided to meet him on July 18, 2014. She did not return home after that. The Minsker strangled the girl with a belt after a quarrel. He and his mother hid the body in a city forest.
The mother and son pled guilty and are jailed now. By the way, they spent some time hiding in the forests of Vitsebsk and Minsk Provinces in the summer of 2014. The young man is also accused of the destruction of documents and his mother is accused of the concealment of a person who committed a heinous crime.
