Victoria Azarenka defeats Caroline Wozniacki in Cincinnati
It was a second round match. The Dane’s WTA rank is much higher than the Belarusian’s now.
Victoria Azarenka has made it to the quarterfinal of the tournament in Cincinnati (USA, prize fund – $2.7 million). The Belarusian defeated Dane Caroline Wozniacki in the second round — 6:0, 6:4. The match took 1.5 hours.
Wozniacki is the World No.5 while Azarenka is in the 21st position at the moment.
26-year-old Victoria Azarenka will compete with 24-yer-old Russian Anastasiya Pavlyuchenko (World No.34) in the quarterfinal.
