‘United Novorossiya Army’ created in Donets Basin
Lieutenant General Ivan Korsun becomes the Commander-in-Chief.
The aim of the new army is ‘to relieve the peoples of Novorossiya and Ukraine from the burden of nazism and oligarchs’, ‘field commanders’ announced. Ivan Korsun has been charged with fulfilling the task as soon as possible, RIA Novosti reports.
The Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada on September 16 recognized the special status of Donets Basin and amnestied the militants who had fought Ukrainian troops.
