TV channel Belarus 24 allowed to resume broadcasting in Ukraine

On 18 December, the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio decided to resume broadcasts of the channel Belarus 24 in the country. This was announced by its director Yuri Artemenko.

Earlier, the National Council was planning to go to court with a demand to stop broadcasting of Belarus 24 programs on the territory of Ukraine. The program Human Rights - Look into the World was found to contain "anti-Ukrainian propaganda" and distortion of information on political developments in Ukraine. Later, the National TV Channel of Belarus took this program off the air.

"We once again monitored the channel Belarus 24 from 26 November to 3 December. We were told that the broadcast of the program had been stopped and the lead, respectively, dismissed. We were given a guarantee that in future the broadcast will be in accordance with Ukrainian legislation," RIA Novosti quoted Artyomenko.

Thus, the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting has decided to return the Belarusian television channel broadcasts to Ukrainian.
