Stable mobile phone coverage to appear in Minsk metro
Cell phone conversation will be possible during the whole trip
To achieve this, a special project initiated by Velcom and involving laying a special cable in the tunnels is currently implemented, BELTA informs with reference to the press service of the carrier.
Intalling base stations in tunnels is ineffective - we'll have a special radiating cable laid out for us instead. It will create an uninterrupted coverage between metro stations and provide clear GSM/UMTS signal reception. All mobile carriers have joined the project, as they are all interested in providing such services to their subscribers.
