Sharapova, Halep withdraw from Brisbane, Azarenka to play Bonaventure
Victoria Azarenka will not be able to compete with Romanian Simona Halep (World No.2) in the second round of Brisbane tournament. Halep has withdrawn due to a leg injury. However, the Belarusian will not be automatically moved to the third round. The Romanian has been replaced with Belgian Ysaline Bonaventure who did not take part in the first round. She is the World No.170. Victoria is in the 22nd position in the WTA rankings.
Russian Maria Sharapova has also withdrawn (World No.4) due to a forearm trauma. She has been replaced with Russian Margarita Gasparan.
