Russia evacuates 87 people including Belarusians from Syria

A Russian rescue plane delivered humanitarian aid to Syria on Monday. It  also evacuated 87 Russian and CIS citizens wishing to leave the area of the armed conflict, interfax.by reports.

The airplane delivered over 20 tons of humanitarian aid to Syria: food (tinned meat, fish and milk, sugar) and sleeping gear.

The Il-76 left Latakia and headed for Moscow. There are 54 Russians, 12 Syrians, 10 Ukrainians and also Belarusian and Kazakh citizens on board, the Russian Emergency Control Ministry reports.
