Political prisoner Uladzimir Kondrus’ trial to continue on December 26

Participant of Square-2016, political prisoner Uladzimir Kondrus, will continue standing trial on December 26. The hearing will start in Minsk Maskouski District Court at 10.30 a.m., the human rights website Viasna reports.

 

Kondrus is in prison hospital now, his mother said.

 

Uladzimir Kondrus is accused of participation in the mass riots of December 19, 2010. His trial started on November 16, 2016.The political prisoner tried cutting his wrists in the court room and was sent to a psychiatric expertise.

 

"They wrote that my son had cut his wrists in the court room. But there were only scratches. They did not even have to stitch his hands up, the doctor told me,” his mother noted.

 

Kondrus has undergone a psychiatric expertise but its results have not been made public yet, human rights defenders report.
