Political prisoner Ihar Alinevich meets parents
Ihar Alinevich was allowed to meet his parents in jail.
The political prisoner’s parents, Valyantsina and Uladzimir, manage to see their son for a short time for the first time in six months. They gave him some food and warm clothes, Svaboda reports.
They talked by phone and from behind a glass barrier, Valyantsina Alinevich said. The couple saw their son in June last time – before he was transported from Navapolatsk colony. Ihar has phoned them from Vitsba colony only once since then.
Ihar Ainevich was returned guilty of ‘hooliganism directed against administrative buildings’ and has already served four out of eight years of his term. He pleads not guilty.
