Police file report on Haidukou and release him pending trial

As was earlier reported by Euroradio, on November 21, ex-political prisoner Andrei Haidukou was detained in Navapolatsk. He was handing out leaflets with information about political prisoners. He was being constantly watched and video-taped. And when Haidukou went home, he was detained.

In his commentary to Radio Svaboda, he said that the police initially claimed that he was being detained for unauthorized mass protest. At the precinct, however, they filed an administrative protocol for the distribution of unauthorized materials, without imprint. Haidukou said that he refused to sign the protocol. He was sent home and told to wait for the court.
