Police ask Dashkevich about assistance to Belarusians fighting in Ukraine

Міліцыя пацікавілася ў Дашкевіча дапамогай беларусам, якія ваююць ва Украіне

A senior district police officer visited Zmitser Dashkevich, leader of the Young Front (registered in the Czech Republic) on the evening of March 30. He wanted to hear explanations about Belarusians fighting in Ukraine.

The charitable marathon ‘help a Belarusian soldier’ was held in Minsk on January 24. The action aimed at helping Belarusian solders fighting in Ukraine was initiated by Dashkevich.

He is not going to comment on anything or to give any explanations, the oppositionist told the officer.

"I saw him looking through printouts from different websites. Some things were highlighted. I told him that he had everything he needed,” Dashkevich told Radio Liberty.

Policemen searched the flat belonging to Eduard Lobau’s mother on March 31. It means that pro-Russia forces in Belarusian structures have become active, Dashkevich thinks. The check-up was initiated by the public prosecutor's office, he said.
